The last four months of Mission have been an extraordinary experience for me! We always hear that “ IN GIVING WE RECEIVE”. It is very true for me! From Nov.18 to 27 the Brothers of St. Gabriel from Singapore/ Malaysia Province were the first group for whom I animated their annual retreat entitled: “ TOTUS TUUS”.
It was all about our spirituality and mostly how to live our Consecration to Jesus through Mary. I could see and feel their eagerness to deepen their Consecration and to live it out with much love.
It was also helpful to see with my own eyes the dedication of our Brothers in Malaysia where they have a huge Boys’ Town but they could call it : Boys’ and Girls’ Town as they have about 60 young girls looked after by the Canossian Sisters.
Il left this country on December 1, 2007 to fly to Indonesia where I had from our dear Sisters, a very warm welcome in their own traditional way. We had different types of sessions together and I also animated a recollection day.
The pre-novices Mary and Avi as well as the Sisters Jacqueline, Moly ,Blandine, and Harlette got involved for their own personal growth and for the growth of the community.
I really enjoyed journeying together with them as one group of Daughters of Wisdom. I still often call to mind the majestic mountains of Poco that I could contemplate nearly everyday as it was the good weather season.
On December 21, 2007 the Air Niugini Airline took me to Papua New Guinea where I stayed with our Sisters in Kiunga, Western Province. I also had the joy of meeting all the missionaries of the Diocese on different occasions.
I animated the Marian Retreat “Totus Tuus” given to our Sisters, the Brothers of St. Gabriel and five other feminine congregations.
Then, I had the joy to live 2 full days with our Melanesian Daughters of Wisdom. I used to tell them: “You are the Melanesian DW Pillars of the Congregation in Papua New Guinea. They were also very motivated to pursue their personal growth as young temporary professed.
